Dr. Kim trained at Columbia University, New York and graduated with the Melvin Morris Research Award, publishing his three-year long research, with first authorship, in the world-renowned Journal of Dental Research. The study provided for new innovative methodologies in ‘tooth and periodontal regeneration via cell-homing’, with the publication assisting many scientists and researchers in the advancement of this field. With dual board-certifications from both the American Board of Periodontology and the Korean Academy of Periodontology, Dr. Kim’s qualifications are considered prestigious and rare in Korea.
